The full-time staff of Green Web Design consists of myself (Jessica), my husband (Robert), and my father (Brian). Robert and I work from our home office in Fond Du Lac, and Brian works from his home office in Milwaukee.
I primarily do all of the Website Design, Programming, Scripts, Databases, and Custom Myspace Design work. I also perform Keyword Research, White Hat Search Engine Optimization, and Online Marketing of all kinds. I set up the sitemaps, maintain Google Analytics accounts, analyze data gathered by the team, and perform other duties too numerous to list. I sleep about 5 hours a day. I literally work around the clock sometimes, because I work from my living room, and there's no reason not to keep working if I'm not tired. I can literally do 3x the work as a "regular" web developer working in an office because I don't have to go home - I'm already there! I don't have to punch a time clock, take lunch breaks out of the office, or pay for parking by the hour, which means that I don't have to restrict my hours the way a web design firm with a large company does.
Brian provides Target Marketing Research, Structured Advertising Campaigns for small to medium sized companies, Merchant Account Services, Search Engine Marketing, and other related services. Robert is our main Search Engine Research Analyst. He also places classified advertisements on behalf of our clients, maintains their custom myspace profiles and manages friends requests, maintains client profiles on other social networking websites, and performs various types of Search Engine Marketing for many of our clients. He provides me with many types of assistance in our home office.
We also have several other talented friends who we hire to do contract work for us on an "as needed" basis for larger projects. One of them also owns a web design company, Soniq Designs. Another is a database analyst at a fortune 500 company who does side jobs for us. Another is a super genius who speaks more programming languages than I do, as a hobby. I began Green Web Design as a "nights and weekends job" in 1995 while I was going to college for Environmental Science, but my love of computers actually goes back to the Christmas that I got my very first computer, a Commodore 64, when I was 8 years old. My parents took a picture of me sitting at the desk, hunched over the keyboard typing away with a look of pure joy on my face, my brand new Peaches n Cream Barbie and Ken laying discarded, forgotten, next to the keyboard. Nothing much has changed since then.
Today, I have over 20 years of computer-related experience, and over 12 years of hands-on web design experience. Not to mention several dozen happy customers. Most of our clients are in the greater Milwaukee and Waukesha area, but we happily accept clients from anywhere in the world. Some of our current clients are as far and wide as Oregon, New Hampshire, California, and Arizona, to name a few.
We work out of our home-based offices, which means that our clients receive the highest quality of customer service at great prices, because we have very little overhead. We can, and often do, work around the clock, 7 days a week. We don't keep a set schedule unless we have a meeting or appointment, and we enjoy our work a great deal, so it's not unusual to get an email reply from us at 3am when you have a question or problem.
Because we don't want to interfere with visitors who might be browsing our clients' websites, the majority of our work is done third shift. This way, our clients' websites don't experience any downtime while we work. We go above and beyond for our clients because we appreciate their business and have a passion for perfection, and our clients enjoy our attention to detail and our dedication.
Although we are only three people, we can still help with your large project. We have long-standing relationships with several trusted professional people and organizations who bring a variety of skills to the table. These services include, but aren't limited to, professional photography, graphic design, print marketing, software design, database related functions, and more.
